It was 26th September 1995 and Manchester United were playing their second leg of the UEFA cup at their home ground - Old Trafford. The first leg had finished goalless, but at Old Trafford the score was now 2-1 to the visitors - Rotor Volgograd. The final few minutes were ticking away and United looked set to loose their record of NEVER losing a home game in a European cup competition. Luck was with them when a corner was awarded to their side. Ryan Giggs stepped up to take it and flung it into the crowd of players. Then suddenly all 6' 4" of the Danish goalkeeper appeared in the box to smash the ball into the back of the net with his head. This goal made the Great Dane a true hero.
Of course this was not the man's first goal. This was his 10th goal in professional football, although all of these have been either as a penalty taker or for playing as a striker.
