Tigger's Poetry
Here is a collection of poems written about Tigger. To see who the authors are, please see the reference at the end of each poem. Enjoy!
What shall we do about poor little Tigger?
If he never eats nothing he'll never get bigger.
He doesn't like honey and haycorns and thistles
Because of the taste and because of the bristles.
And all the good things which an animal likes
Have the wrong kind of swallow or too many spikes.
But whatever his weight in pounds, shillings and ounces,
He always seems bigger because of his bounces.
- From The House at Pooh Corner, Chapter 2, "In Which Tigger Comes to the forest and Has Breakfast," by A. A. Milne. If you would like to know more about what happened the day that Tigger came to the 100 Acre Wood, see Tigger's Story.
If Rabbit
Was bigger
And fatter
And stronger,
Or bigger
Than Tigger,
If Tigger was smaller,
Then Tigger's bad habit
Of bouncing at Rabbit
Would matter
No longer,
If Rabbit
Was taller.
- From The House at Pooh Corner, Chapter 7, "In Which Tigger is Unbounced," by A. A. Milne. As hummed by Pooh.
Don't swing on a string,
It's much too frail,
The best kind of swing,
Is a Tigger's tail!
WWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

tigger tigger wonderful tigger
your bounce just keeps getting bigger
Faster and higher with every pounce
soon you'll be bigger than a house
Higher and Higher every day
better and better in every way
Fun and kind every day
Just the best in every way!
