The present web-site tries to provide a brief account of the Faculty of Engineering: Its history, its departments, specializations, laboratories, and Consultancy centers. A full list of the state of the art of all members of staff is included.
The faculty is aware of its role in three fields: the educational process, research , and community services. Regarding the educational process, the faculty has developed its curriculum for undergraduates in 2004 to cope with the advanced engineering education. Postgraduate curriculum has also been developed in 1998 aiming at raising the scientific as well as the technical standards of the graduates. In the field of community services, the specialized units under the umbrella of engineering Consultancy center provide their expertise for solving problems in a wide spectrum of engineering fields. Finally, I would like to thank all those who have participated in producing this web-site in its final form hopefully providing all necessary information online. It will be regularly updated to reflect the new development taking place in the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University.
