Horatio is a guard that is a pretty close friend of
Hamlet’s. At the end of the book, Horatio tries to
drink Hamlet’s poison drink but there wasn’t any more
left. Horatio was a good friend because he won’t
betray his friends. Horatio is one of the only
characters that doesn’t die other then Fortenbras.
Horatio is the only one that understands Hamlet,
Hamlet is very open to Horatio. Horatio was one of
the only people that saw the ghost other than Hamlet
and Marcellus. Horatio Wanted to talk to the ghost
but he told he didn’t. Hamlet wanted to talk to the
ghost, but Horatio told him not to because he was
scared that the ghost was going to kill Hamlet.
Horatio is very loyal to Hamlet and wants to drink
the poison because Hamlet the King and Queen are dead.
Before Hamlet dies he tells Horatio not to drink the
poison drink, but there isn’t any left anyways.
Horatio orders the bodies to be buried, He’s mad
because his good friend is gone.
Horatio is a good friend because he tells fortenbras
that Hamlet was a hero for killing the king, for how
hw killed Hamlet’s father, and for killing Laertes for
believing the King that he did kill Hamlet’s father
and the Queen just didn’t know about the poison drink
when she chugged it, she didn’t find out till after.
Horatio tells Fortenbras that Hamlet said to take over
their palace and rule it, because Hamlet knows they
would be a good ruler.
