Components

Sections: Positive | Negative | Zero | Formulas | Examples | Students Corner

Example No. 1

Given: One conductor of a 3f line is open. The current flowing to the D-connected load through line a is 10 amps. With the currrent in line a as reference, and assuming that line c is open, find the components of the line currents if:

Ia = 10/0ºIb = 10/180ºIc = 0/0º

Solution:

Example No. 2

Given: Determine the symmetrical components of the three voltages:

Va = 10/0ºVb = 10/230ºVc = 10/130º
