Definition. Load Current is proportional to input voltage under any conditions within limits of load resistance.

If V_IN appears at the positive input then a voltage virtually equal to V_IN must also appear at the negative input. So I_R1 will never change as long as R₁ doesn't change, because virtually no current flows between inverting and non-inverting inputs.

Then, I_R1 = I_LOAD.

Therefore, I_LOAD = V_IN/R₁
