WEEK 03: BLOCK DIAGRAMS Sections: Configuration | Summer | Take-off Point | Element/Block | Solutions | Student's Tasks There are two possible solution using Block Diagrams. These are: Signal Resolution and Block Manipulation. Signal Resolution is easier to use on some Block Diagrams, but Block Manipulation can also be used, and they should give the same transfer function irrespective of which method is used. Block Manipulation. Blocks or elements are either consolidated, added or moved; take-off points and summers merged into group or expanded to separate entities, with corresponding transforms taken into account. Refer to given manipulation techniques above. Block Manipulation, Example. Signal Resolution. All lines are resolved and designated with respective signals considering their respective directions. Refer to given resolution formulas above. Signal Resolution, Example. |
