The Environment Protection Society (ENPROS) was initiated by enthusiastic youths who began planting trees by the roadsides in Shanischare, Jhapa. In the year 2049 Bikram-Sambad, ENPROS was officially launched with the prime goal of environment conservation. For the past nine years, ENPROS has also championed itself on various works of social service including health, education, sports, and cultural development, family planning, women and child welfare. At present, the organisation is officially centred at Shanischare VDC, with a branch office in Kathmandu.

The diversity of the organisation is apparent through its schemes like the savings and credit program and other similar co-operative activities, which were started by the organisation in Shanischare, Arjundhara, and Khudnabari VDC and other areas.
