I wrote here about how I got a bruise from the lady phlebotomist sticking me wrong. Well, ever since then I've kept my eye out for that woman. She's been around. Often, in fact. And whenever I've seen her I've been terrified of getting sent to her section and having her stick me again. But I always lucked out. Until this week, when the cards fell into place and it was ordained that I would be assigned to her.

Twice.

Yes, both Tuesday and today I was put in her section, and both days the luck of the draw had it that I got stuck by her. I was terrified, of course, but out of diplomacy or weaselness or something, I kept my mouth shut. I mean, how awful would it be for me to suggest to her: "Excuse me, could I please have someone else stick me today?"

Turned out okay, both times. Must have just been a fluke all those months ago.
