I work full time for The Norton Agency in Gainesville, GA. I am the Real Estate
secretary. I have wonderful agents to work for and with...(they are great to me!) and
Friends as co-workers. It's a nice way to spend 8 hours a day! (Visit our web page).
I take watercolor classes at our local art center, The Quinlan Visual Arts Center, from a
lovely artist and human being, Mary Brady.
The past two summers I have travelled to Wisconsin to take week long workshops from
Jan Boelte. Jan is a watercolor artist from Southern Illinois. She specializes in garden
landscapes. Her work is light, beautiful and draws you right in! The workshops have
taken place at Dillman's CreativeArts Center in Lac Du Flambeau, WI. Visit dillman's
web page. It is a wonderful retreat, and the workshops are
inspiring.
Almost every evening finds me painting or printing my watercolors on notecards,
magnets, address labels, bookmarks and the like. My friends have graciously received
and purchased my creations.
My friends often generously refer to me as an artist. I prefer to think of myself as
someone who loves the medium of watercolor, the joy of colors, the process of
creating and the challenge of doing better.
My greatest reward in the the sale or giving of my creations is if they bring joy to those
who bought them or those who receive them.
I don't make enough to grow rich, just enough to cover my expenses, to feed my
craving for paper, paints, good brushes and books! If you would like to receive my
catalog sheets, please e-mail me with your name and address.
