Illegal Video pokerTwo illegal video poker operations were taken out of action up by the State Law Enforcement Division on Wednesday, according to state authorities, with four arrests and 19 gaming machines discovered in Port Royal and Beaufort. Adell Terese Taylor, of 2400 Southside Blvd., Apt. 49, Beaufort, was arrested Wednesday for possession of 11 illegal gaming machines at The Coffee Shop, 1400 Ribaut Road in Port Royal, according to a SLED arrest warrant. Kathy Rose Byers, of 75 White Pond Blvd. in Beaufort, was arrested Wednesday for ownership of eight illegal gaming machines at Amusement Services of the Lowcountry, 129 Burton Hill Road, Suite E, in Beaufort, according to the merit. Information on current arrests and the number of gaming machines seized statewide wasn't available Thursday. Beaufort County Sheriff P.J. Tanner also left details of the week's events to SLED. Under Port Royal's business permit records, Clinton Silon also owns The Coffee Shop in Port Royal. Silon could not be reached for comment Thursday. |
