'States that neglect what their Nations cherish
Can not but, surely, some day, perish...'

It was helpful if different ethnic groups were familiar with each
other's cultures. At Loudricina (Turkish) secondary school he headed he was teaching Greek too, and he tried in Nicosia to accomodate requests by a number of Greek gynasium pupils for private tuition in Turkish language ~but a child's education & culture, for later mature functioning in a multi-ethnic society mostly within the child's own ethnic group, did necessitate, he believed reasonable awareness by a child of that background. |
