messinia dance groups - celebrating our heritage!
Messinia operates three dance groups during the year - the children's group, the junior group and the aspirational senior group. Children learn the rhythms of traditional Greek dance at an early age and progress gradually throughout their dancing careers, learning not just steps but the history, styles and traditions that cover all regions of Greece. Our senior group is currently comprised of youths and young adults ranging in age from 15 to 28, and they proudly represent Messinia at events across the country and internationally.
