Twisted madman, enemy of Amber, last seen disappearing downwards into a bottomless Abyss. He had sympathisers, though, and it is said that some continue his work. He tried to erase the Pattern, using the blood of his nephew Martin to do so. He almost succeeded, as well. When he died, he dragged Deirdre over the edge with him.
In the Abyss, he woke Crowley, Benedict's ancient nemesis, who had been imprisoned for aeons. He was helped out of the Abyss by William, but was unable to save Dierdre. Strangely, it seems that while it is an open secret he is alive, nobody tries to kill him. And he is known to have saved the world at least once since his "death". Somewhat of a prodigal son, he remains true to the family - at least as long as he is constantly supervised and cornered like a rat in a trap.
Psychically, he is only matched by Fiona and Dworkin. As a fighter, he is not great, but good enough. The blood of Amber keeps him safe by keeping him strong, and he is tough enough to have held out against Crowley for days until help arrived. Not one to mess with. Just Brand, really, with a nice streak.
His curse, given by Crowley: "You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make ye mad."
