Self-Analysis » Professionalism
I believe that I have a very good sense of professionalism. In my attempts at team activities and important work, I always make my actions as clear as possible and my work as presentable as possible. As such, I feel that I, as a person, bring much quality to which ever task I do.
Strengths
I feel that one of my strengths in this category is my steadfastness; where many people would give up, I would be the one to continue until there is no possibility of going forward with the task. By motivating myself to finish my work with integrity, I position myself to be a good example to others, not by sending the message that only I was able to do the job, but more that anyone can succeed if he tries his best to finish. The Managerial Assumptions self-assessment test shows how this may be true: the test indicates that I am highly aligned to McGregor’s Theory Y. As such, even when I am not in a leadership position, I would do what I can to motivate my peers to actualize their potential.
Weaknesses
My weakest point in this category is my weak entrepreneurship skills. While I understand that it is needed to be successful in today’s society, I feel as if I lack some of the motivation to be very ambitious. Though this does not mean that I do not take any risks at all, this does imply that unless I am willing to be more forthcoming in the things I do, there is little chance for my own personal advancement. By working on being able to speak up in a crowd and working on expanding my networking skills, I hope that this will be the beginning of my self-actualization.
