Blacknose - a.k.a Blackeenose
I soon was able to get close enough to pet him. When I got up from my knee to leave, it followed me home. Jason came home from work and saw that there was a cat hanging out on our front porch. I told him the story and we then decided to feed him knowing that this might lead him to stick around. The next morning I looked outside and the cat was curled up on a chair outside my door. I called the vet to see what I should do for his eyes and they told me to carefully wipe them with a warm washcloth. I then made a vet appointment to get him checked out and start vaccinations. Being that I had two other animals, I couldn't bring this one into the house right away in fear that it might get my other animals sick. I gave the cat medicine everyday and had to bring it to the vet once a week for 4 weeks to get flea and lice dipped. I thought if this cat sticks around the house after going through all this it would be a miricale.
Soon it was time to let my other pets get to know the new one. Slowy but surely the cat finally found a place in our home and into our heart. Dryfus and Blacknose, being two male cats, have their hissys once in a while. But they seem to get along great, almost as if they knew each other from the beginning of life. You can even find them curled up to one another.
