Urbana to Lansing Bike Ride 2001
The plans are in the works for this years Urbana to Lansing ride. This years ride will be a little more challenging. I am changing the ride into a two day event. The date of the ride will be May 21-22. The route will remain the same for the first day. Thinking about an alternate route for some of the second day, for a change in scenery.

Urbana to Lansing Bike Ride 2000

The date of the ride was May 23rd (tuesday). We left my house at 5:30 a.m. I was not sure how long it would take us for the whole trip. Jason and Andre(a friend of mine)were the support crew. They drove the truck and drove the route as we biked. We had coolers in the truck with beverages and food. Of course we had watermelon for John.

It started out kind of chilly but warmed up as the day went on. The whole ride took us 9 hours of actual riding time (12 hours including our breaks and lunch at Elkader) The final milage was 116 miles.

The weather decided to finally warm up around Aurora and we ended up having a pretty nice day.

My mother had dinner waiting for us when we got there. She also drove Dawn, John and I back to Urbana that night. Jason and Andre transported the bikes back in the truck.

We had a great time. See you next year!
