The Historical Commission has published an excellent, FREE brochure that outlines a self-guided walking tour of urban Nashville. The tour begins at Fort Nashborough on the Riverfront and a painted green line will guide your along the two-mile walk. Most of the sites along the way are free and open to the public (such at the State Capitol, the Tennessee State Museum, and Fort Nashborough). Public parking is available at Riverfront Park and is reasonably priced.
