known as Gumalac bringing themselves propagules
of mangroves for a
whole day mangrove planting activity. It
is a Palomponganon’s way of
environmental protection and rehabilitation
thru the spirit of bayanihan.

other part of the country sail to the sea
to catch more fish, the people of Palompon
during this time are doing exactly the opposite.
NGO’s. PO’s, LGU, Religious
Sectors, Academes voluntarily patrol the
coastal waters of Palompon with one purpose
and objective, to prevent other people from
catching danggit ( Siganids species ) during
spawning season.
