The Wedding
To love and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish,' till death do us part... Erwin and Joy

We exchange our vows last 23rd of June, 2002. We finally walk down the aisle together with my love, my bestfriend and my destiny.

Wedding Ceremony

We have a church wedding at San Agustin Church located at Gen. Luna St. Intramuros Manila. We had blend the Filipino and Chinese style of wedding. We had consulted Fung Shui expert regarding the exact date and time of the wedding. The use of principal and secondary sponsors in our wedding ceremonies is the traditional approach. The principal sponsors are equivalent to our godparents, who provide lifetime support and guidance to the newlyweds. Secondary sponsors, consisting of candle, veil and cord sponsors, participate in rituals that symbolize love, unity and understanding." We had a tea ceremony after the wedding, and that is a Chinese tradition.

The Entourage

It will be as big as possible. We have 6 pairs of principal sponsors, best man, maid of honor, 3 pairs of groomsmen & bridesmaid, secondary sponsors (candle, veil and cord), a pair of junior groomsman & bridesmaid, 2 flower girls, and ring and coin bearer.

The Motif

Torquoise blue with a little touch of silver are our motif. Erwin and I choose this shade because we both prefer the shades of blue. We find it very perfect for the occassion.

My Wedding Gown and Erwin's Attire

Since our business is in the line of dress making, we were the one who will made our gowns. The bride wore an Oyster white fully beaded with white, silver and ecru gazaar gown. It is a spaghetti cut, low back with long train and a pieces cut skirt. The groom wore a Pina Jusi Barong Tagalog with a black slacks.

The Flowers

My bridal bouquet of ornithogalum, casablance, tulips, beargrass and green berries. For the other entourage they will having a gathered bouquet holland roses, pink sweet peas, pink peonies with buplerum and barker bush leaves.

The Cake

Three layers of Banana Sour Cream covered with White fondant with a little touch of blue & silver. A gumpaste monocromatic blue, yellow, & pink flowers. A silver beads with some vines, grapes and oranges to add accent to the cake.

The Souvenirs

A complication of our best and favorite love songs with a perfect cover to match with. We find this souvenirs a sentimental and usual so that our guest can remember us whenever they go.

The Reception

The Reception will involve a much larger number of guests and family, who will carry the same sort of festive atmosphere and family-oriented theme associated with many Filipino-Chinese weddings. The primary sponsors were seated at the head (presidential) table together with the newlyweds (Erwin and Joy). We had the tradition of doves, wine and cake cutting ceremony While eating, our fellow friends namely Linton Lim, Sonnie Go, Jill Dayrit, Jerry Chua, Sherwin Tan and Aldwin Yu gave us their messages and Mr. Armin Tiu sang our theme song " YOU" while Mr. Micheal Lim (our MC) rendered us some of our requested song like I'll Be There.

Honeymoon

Right after the wedding, we went honeymoon. We went to USA for 1 month.
