Bassla Hundansta

It takes another week to reach the mountains. They grow slowly, day by day, until they fill the horizon. Finally, you find yourself at their roots, straining your neck to see their cloudy heads.

As you stare up at them, you think they must surly be as impassible as the Mendor Heights. You don't realize you spoke aloud until you hear Clasiea beside you give a small laugh. "There are many who have thought so, but fear not traveler! There are passes through these mountains, where the Medors have none. We'll get through alright."

That evening after you've made camp, a light snow begins to fall. The next morning the Gor Bant's heat quickly melts it away, but Clasiea looks concerned. "If the snow is falling even out here, we may be sure it is falling thickly in the mountains," she tells you.

"Should we even try to cross?" you ask.

Clasiea sighs. "With the Candaz Teyval we have enough water, but our food and fodder won't hold through a long wait. We need to get through to the Alleth Mish-ahtey, where we can restock." She pulls out a map and lays it flat on the ground. It shows the Bassla Hundansta in vivid detail. Three passes are marked on the map. "It's anybody's guess which pass will be best, though." Clasiea suddenly gives a small laugh. "What say you, friend? Which pass shall we take?

Will you take the wide pass, the crooked pass, or the narrow pass. Or, will you choose to go back.
