Ginnal Santreysta

You look out over the Ginnal Santreysta, and see that it is a chain of islands. There are hundreds of them...they look kind of like the spots on a ginnal's back. You and Raidely get a few of the sailors to row you out to the biggest island.

A small party of people is waiting to meet you when you arrive. They greet you cheerfully, and lead you to a small city just down the beach. As you walk down the small main street, you notice that nearly every house has a cage or two. Inside the cages are brightly colored canaries.

In the middle of town is a small market-place. There are booths selling fruit and leather, pots and lace. By far the largest booth, however, is one selling canaries. Curious, you walk over. "Come see my beautiful canaries!" exclaimes the shopkeeper as he spots you. Once you're at his booth, he drops to a confidential whisper. "This island is the only place on Gavania that canaries naturally inhabit," he tells you.

The shopkeeper continues. "There are no eggs needing homes right now. Would you like one when we have some more?"

You consider for a moment, then nod.

"Now don't go rushing into it!" the shopkeeper says. "Canaries can be wonderful pets, but they require work and commitment. And, I have to warn you, newly hatched canaries are not very pretty. Of course, they grow up beautiful. Still interested?"

You nod, and the shopkeeper goes on. "Alright. Canaries go through four stages--egg, hatchling, fledgling, and adult. Feathers don't come in until the fledgling stage. The canary has attained full size at fledling, but you won't know for sure it's true color until it reaches adulthood. Female canaries who are given proper care will also go through one more stage, nesting. You can learn more about that through the link below.

Currently the only sure way to get a canary is to put in an order at Silvanon Art.
