Definition: Glory--one of five power groups. All Painted Unicorns "belong" to one of these power groups, meaning that they have inborn talent for the magics falling therein.
The five Glories are Iava Quiesta (Earth Tones), Filanasta (Celestials), Eilli Havala (Light Fantastic), Unlasta se Cassta (Times & Seasons), and Cora Finien (Heartfelt).
The magics falling into each powergroup are as follows:
Iava Quiesta: Earth & natural forces, some weather and elemental.
Filanasta: Weather, air, universal rhythms, some water.
Eilli Havala: Chance, fate, mystery, illusions, fire.
Unlasta se Cassta: Time, doorways, begginings and endings.
Cora Finien: Emotions, healing, faith, hope and peace, some water.
While every unicorn is capable of performing magic from every Glory, most are born with special talent it one. It is common practice among Paint mares to name their children according to their Glory.
Most ritual greetings among Paint unicorns will include mention of their glory.
