You walk through the huge open doors of the palace proper, and into a wide hallway. The white mother-of-pearl walls are accented by dark red wood here and there, and a deep red carpet runs down the middle of the floor. The entire hallway is brightly illuminated by small baskets hanging from the walls at regular intervals. They glow too brightly for you to see what's inside the baskets.
There is a door on the left, another on the right. There's also a small hallway leading off to the right, and a pair of huge double doors way down at the end of the hall.
Back to the palace gates.
