5'5" tall, Green eyes, Gorgeous model turned actress Lisa Ray, was born on April 4th to Polish mother and a Bengali father. She was born and brought up from Canada.

Her family was involved in a car accident in which her mother was seriously injured. Lisa couldn't start University because she missed the term. Instead, she went back to India and her career as a successful entertainer began.She came to the lime light when she was Sixteen by appearing in Glad Rags magazine. Lisa was a model for various ads, commericals, and magazines for India in her early career.

After long gap, Lisa came back with a vengeance and she soon became one of India's top actresses. She has also appeared on the cover of Great Looks, Elle and Femina magazines. After her debut film Kasoor, Lisa Ray had shown a distinct disinclination to pursue a career in Bollywood.

She's started writing for Cosmopolitan, The Times Group of Publications, and The Indian Express. Lisa's ambition is to be a novelist.

Lisa Ray is the beauty who has been ranked as the ninth most beautiful woman of the Millenium in India by a poll conducted by the Times of India, the only model in the top ten. Her latest film is by far the most popular International film of the decade, says critics. Lisa stars in the new hit film, Hollywood/Bollywood, which is becoming a hit in the Western countries.
