Great site! I grew up feeling like I didnt fit in anywhere (I dont look remotely asian - always mistaken for South American or Pacific Islander) And only since I left school started to embrace my mixture as a positive thing.Great to see sites like these

Hey emma, i think its great that you made this site, ive noticed more and more eurasian sites are popping up which is terrific. A year ago, i didnt even bother to explore my oriental side, but ever since university, i saw a different side of being mixed

This is a great sight. I had to chuckle at your 'Have you ever been called...' section. There was the term Banana right there! I love being what I am.

Ive been visiting this site for awhile and I still havent signed the guestbook! For shame! http://jessica.sweet-outrage.com

Thanks for the site,Emma. Its a great site to hang out with others who are mixed too. Prejudice towards mixed races have made me cherish my mixed heritage even more. Now, I know that mixed is the best! And, im PROUD of it! Thanks again!!

Im not hapa, but Im often mistaken to be hapa, even by other hapas! I think its because I have big eyes for an Asian (& a Japanese person, saids its because I have an angular face, too). Most whites think I must have some white blood in me

My name is Nancy and I was surfing the web one day and somehow found your website. I think it is so cool and yes, you are very pretty. I am somehow very fascinated by people of mixed descent, especially half caucausian and Asian. I myself am 100% Chinese, but for some reason people always think I'm half white or south American. (It is really strange but some people think I'm Brazilian!) I think I do look Chinese but more "Chinese-American" because I grew up in California (Los Angeles).

I think that Asian kids who grow up in North America tend to be taller, bigger, etc because of the food that we eat.

I've always loved being mixed, getting the chance to experience different cultures,it's the best! Sometimes people are puzzled by the way you look and >they really can't tell what race you are. Most people think I'm Spanish,American Indian,Mexican,Puerto >Rican and even other nationalities in S.America.I am fluent in English and my mom's language,Tagalog from the Philippines, I don't know how to speak my dad's language (hindi) although I wish i knew how!

I was just searching thru the net when I happened to come accross yours site.

I would just like to say that I found your insights and experiences quite refreshing. It is always heartwarming to know that there are people who, despite what they have been dealt with early in life, have grown up to be survivors and better for it in the long run.

I am glad that you have not turned your back on your roots in asia. I believe that in this ever becoming intolerant world, it is people like you who will be ambassadors of friendship and understanding between cultures. I can understand how at times it can be hard to gain acceptance in a particular society - as one Filipino-American once commented "When I was in the States, I was always known as the Filipina. Now that I am in the Philippines, I am known as an American.". But I think that you have adopted ok!

I could not help but smile when I read about your Asian experiences. Yes, some of us can be crude (and maybe rude) at times. I do believe that our fascination for Eurasians are very much inter-twined with our colonial past. Not only is this apparent in what we deem as beautiful, but also in our choice of products. Anything that is imported is seen as more superior in quality. While this is not necessarily true, this again is unfortunately ingrained in our culture.
