These days, hip hop music has a new twist because of a Reggae phenomenon. Reggae is becoming popular all thanks to the creative sounds of Sean Paul. With Sean Paul's fair skin and delightful Caribbean accent, you'd have to question his ethnic background. Sean Paul Henriques was born in Kingston, Jamaica, on the 8th of January 1973.

Sean Paul was born to a Jamaican Father and Chinese/Portuguese/Jamaican Mother. Prior to all his fame, Sean Paul was playing water polo for the Jamaican national team. Despite Sean Paul's education and athletic abilities, he started writing his own songs and later became a deejay.

Though Sean Paul appears as a newcomer to American music, he’s very popular back in his native of Jamaica. In 1996, Sean Paul released his debut single, "Baby Girl," which was successful his homeland. In 1999, Sean Paul moved his musical ambitions into the United States and Canada. Canadian audiences first experienced Sean Paul’s work with other Reggae artists, such as 'Beanie Man' and 'Kardinal Official.' Sean Paul got his world recognition when he released his latest album, "Dutty Rock," which features his top singles, "Give me the Light," and, "Glue." The newest album includes tracks where Sean Paul collaborated with Busta Rhymes, and Beyonce Knowles..
