Note in NIV Study Bible: "His only hope is that in heaven he has a friend (verse 20) a holy one who will be his witness, his advocate, his intecessor who will plead with God on his behalf.
Knowing that Jesus is the one who calls the game, Our Umpire, (See Story by my father after surgery), It gives me peace to know that God will see me through each day that comes. For the one thing that I know for sure is that He is my God and I am his child, and He is in Control.
Dear God: Thank you for allowing Jesus, Your son, to be the one who calls the game. He walked this earth as a man, feeling the same feelings we have, being tempted and hurting. Thank you for sending Jesus to die for us so that we can be acceptable in Your sight. thank you for giving us such a wonderful friend, Our advocate, and intecessor. In Jesus name we Pray Amen.
