Don't Despair

Don't Despair of your children,
God will rescue them in His time.
His Son died to save them, He said
"They are Special to Me, They're Mine."

God knows how much you love them,
He Loves them even more.
Just remember to always hold on in Prayer
He'll not close the door.

Even Now He sees your tears,
And He whispers tenderly,
of a Love that conquers all
so that all men might be free

So lay your children at God's alter,
Let them go and leave them there.
God will be faithful to your trust,
In His wonderful awesome Care.

Mauri Gandy

I wrote this poem after I took the advice in Barbara Johnson's book, "So Stick a Geranium in Your Hat, and Be Happy", and visualized placing my oldest daughter in a large box. I Wrapped it with beautiful paper and found the prettiest bow to tie on it. I took the box to God's alter and place it before Jesus' feet. I walked away, and watched Jesus lift my daughter out of the box and placed her in His loving arms.

As you walk away, you can take another look back to reassure yourself that He still has your child in His arms. For He promises that He will never let them go.

"There is hope for your future, declares the Lord
Your children will return to their land."
Jeremiah 31:17

"I will ... transform her Valley of Troubles
Into a Door of Hope"
Hosea 2:15

"And you can ... be very sure that God
will rescue the children of the Godly."
Proverbs 11:21
