Since then he has portrayed characters in several movies, including “Return of the Killer Tomatoes”, “18 Again”, Repossessed”, “Inferno” and James Bond’s “Licence to Kill”. Born 6th June 1963 in Syracuse, New York. Tony is married with one son (born in 1997 on the same day Tony's cousin in Holland also had a son). Tony attended Antioch High School and Marquette University. Aged 5 he moved to Pleasant Hill, San Francisco Bay Area and at 10 his family moved to Northern Illinois. He worked briefly in Chicago, before L.A. Tony's father worked in the insurance industry and his mother was a schoolteacher. Both parents are immigrants from the Netherlands but Tony understands more Dutch than he speaks because he has never been formally taught it. He tries to get back to the Netherlands once a year and is close to his grandfather, aunts & uncles out there.

Fascinated by movies & television since childhood, Tony always wanted to become an actor and appeared in several high school plays. He actually entered University with the intention of becoming a lawyer, but he tried out for, and won, a theatre scholarship. He began auditioning while still at school. He moved to LA in 1985 (for 1986's Nothing in Common) but relocated permanently after being cast in the South Coast Repertory's production of 'Buried Child'. Tony co-wrote & starred in the short film Blood Chemistry.
