Gazte Abertzaleak has decided to buy and occupy the  www.eurocopa2000.org dominion 

that might seem reserved for the Euro 2000 Organisation. 

                 Through this peaceful action we want to draw European and international attention presenting our opinion on the current Euro 2000.

                 In 1998 the Basque Parliament approved, with the votes of IU, PNV, EH and EUSKO ALKARTASUNA, the official nature of the Basque selections that currently exist and compete. In spite of that, most of them can not participate in international competitions.

                 Despite the fact that democratically, the Basque Country, decided to have its own selection, the Spanish and French States do not respect this decision, framed within the little respect that the aforementioned States show to the word of our Country.

                 Our Selection does not have the opportunity to take part in the Euro 2000, it is not fair and, furthermore, our players are doomed to take part with the T-shirt of the French or Spanish selections.

                 For this reason Gazte Abertzaleak wants to show its malaise. This Web aims to be a gesture of protest and we hope that shortly our selection, the Selection of Euskadi that represents our Country, is in Europe as one more.
