- On, off, polar opposites, no?
- Odd that the come together in the same switch.
- How unlike Happy and Sad, right?
- Unless you count Manic Depression.
- On - Happy - Manic
- Oh, the overbearing joy,
- the forced grins, the laughing till it hurts,
- the never-ending string of jokes,
- the dread that this might not be you.
- Off - Sad - Depression
- Ug, the utter hopelessness,
- the blank face, the thunderous silence,
- the never-ending string of naps,
- the desperation that this might be you.
- Then the irony of it all, it's the same illness.
- Different emotions to different cues, no control.
