I.Leveling

Q:How do I gain levels?

A:By fighting people in the Hacking Arena

Q:Should I get Equipment?

A:If you're new, yes. However, as you go up in ranks, you won't need it as much.

Q:What helps you win battles most?

A:Having good battles stats

Q:Why does a lower-level person keep beating me?

A:Levels don't really matter battle-wise. Your stats do.
Check your opponent's rank. If it's a lower rank, that person is most likely stronger.
example:
You-rank: 3000
Opponent-rank:2800
Most likely winner? Opponent

Q: What are levels good for?

A: Mostly for other actions that have level requirements. (jobs, dialy hacks, equipment). They do give a bit of a stat boost, but it's kind of worthless.

II.Equipment

Q:Is equipment that important in battle?

A: If you and your enemy have close stats, it can make or break a battle. But usually, it's not that important...It can help but you shouldn't focus solely on equipment.
Try having someone else get you equipment. Check the market.

Q: Who would get me equipment?

A: A gang will most likely loan you equipment

Q:How do I equip stuff?

A:Go to Equipment in the city

Q:What is the difference between a deck, ram, and software programs

A:A deck is like a backpack for your actual equipment.
Ram would be the pockets. It allows you to have memory foryou programs.
Attack/Defense/(Agility) programs are the stuff that's actually used in battle.

Q:Can I double up on equipment?

A: Deck-You can only have 1 deck at a time
Ram-You can double up if you want..Example: you can have 16 8-rams...
Software-You can only have 1 of each item. Example:Having 2 gnu's are not allowed. Having one gnu and one firewall is.
However, you can have as many items as your ram will let you.

Shops

Q:How do I get in the shops?

A:Sorry, but there are requirements (in IQ and Hacking skill.)

Q: Custom or Pre-made?

A: First get one of each of the pre-made programs before moving on to custom. Really, it's worth to get them all.

Q:Should I pay for the custom name?

A:Yes, you should. If you don't and you get 2 weapons with an automatic name, they will have the same name and you won't be able to equip both. If they both have custom names, you'll be able to equip both

III.Stats/Facility

Q: How do I raise my stats?

A: There are a few ways.
-Gaining levels (not a big raise)
-Stat boosts from gang wars>(decent raise)
-Stat boosts from Intent (RReally good)
-Facility (Amazingly good if you have a lot of iq. IE.1,000-2,5000 IQ)

Q:What are stats good for?

A:
-Firewall (hp): battles
-Bus(speed): Hacks, Facility requirements -Cpu(agility):battles, Facility requirementss
-Ram(defense):battles, Facility requirementss
-Hard Drive(attack):battles, Facility requirrements
-IQ: Hacks, facility, hack pc, shopping requuirement
-Hacking Skill: Hacks, hack pc, shopping reqquirement
-Intent Skill: Intent Stat Boosts, jobs
-lvls: Hacks requirement, jobs, battles, othher requirements

Facility

Q:Should I use the Facility?

A:It's really not worth it unless you have 1,000-2,500 IQ and have access to the later facilities.

Q:I can't get in a facility, what to do?

A:Check the requirements. Try to have the money both on hand and in the bank. Also, sometimes having dds or a high level can help.

IV.Gangs

Q: How do you join a gang?

A: The easiest way is to go to chat and ask which gang is best to join. Then you'll have a whole bunch of people trying to recruit you and tell you how to join.

Q: Why should I join a gang?

A:-Gang war win stat boosts
-Health coverage
-Borrowing Weapons
-Other stuff that depends on the gangs

Q:How do I participate in a gang war?

A: You kill the people in the opposite gang. For every kill you make the gang gets a point.

V.Earning Money

Q.How do I earn money?

Q. How much can I charge for energy charges and websites?

A. ECs sell for around 1-1.2 mil nowadays.
Websites sell for 300-900 cds.

Q. How much interest do I get from the bank?

A. It tells you on the bank page.

Q. How do I get more interest?

A. Getting d-days.

Q. I should get more than 7.5 mil why can't I?

A. The max interest you can get is 7.5 mil, if you want more you should invest the extra money in a gang bank.
