28th Annual Florida Suncoast Writers' Conference
February 3-5, 2000, USF
St. Petersburg, Florida

This year's Florida Suncoast Writers' Conference held at the St.Petersburg campus of the University of South Florida is something no writer should have to miss. The lineup includes Arthur Golden, Wally Lamb, Tom Robbins and Connie May Fowler and many, many more writers, poets, editors, agents and publishers.

The event is scheduled for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, February 3-5, 2000. Conference highlights include workshops, panels, and lectures conducted by professional and prize-winning authors, editors, publishers, and agents on various aspects of writing. Social events will include readings, an opening reception, the traditional Friday night banquet and a Saturday luncheon.

William Styron is the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of Sophie's Choice, Lie Down in Darkness, The Confessions of Nat Turner, and Darkness Visible: A Memoir of Madness.

David Guterson is the 1995 PEN/Faulkner Award-winning author of Snow Falling on Cedars.

Gerald Stern is the Lamont Poetry Prize-winning author of Lucky Life, Paradise Poems, Love Sick, and Selected Poems (Harper and Row, 1990), among many others.

Gail Galloway Adams is the writer-in-residence at the University of West Virginia and the Flannery O'Connor Award-winner for The Purchase of Order.

Rita Ciresi is the winner of the Flannery O'Connor Award for Mother Rocket. Her most recent novel, published in 1996, is titled Blue Italian.

Registration

Pre-Conference Reception
