Patricia Lieb, Editor
Writer, Photographer

Patricia, currently a feature writer for The Suncoast News,

covered the City of Dunedin Florida for eight years. City officials in
the quaint town, located between
Tarpon Springs and Clearwater Beach on the Gulf of Mexico, presented Patricia with awards on two occassions, one for reliable reporting,1994, the other for government reporting 1991-99..

A talented photographer, Pat also illustrates her own feature stories and is often seen at Dunedin's downtown "streetscape" and beaches, camera in hand, snapping photographs to accompany her articles. As time permits, she buries herself in the horror of true crime and writes honest-to-goodness non-fiction stories that are published nationwide in popular detective magazines.

Before joining The Suncoast News, Pat worked for several other newspapers, including The Daily Sun Journal in Brooksville, Florida, where she covered crime, courts and city government. She was a feature writer for the Daily Journal in Kankakee, Illinois for three years prior to moving to Florida in 1987 and was one of the first journalists to join the staff at the Bourbonnais Herald in Bourbonnais, Illinois when it began publication in 1976.

In the early 1980s Pat was the co-editor/co-publisher of the literary
magazine Pteranodon and the Pteranodon chapbook series, which she produced with Carol Schott Martino. In 1975 she was an editor with the Kankakee Area Writers' Group, in Kankakee, Illinois, to compile American Thoughts, a book of more than 200 pages compiled by the group in celebration of this country's 1976 bicentennial year.

Pat has served as a speaker at numerous writer's conferences including the Annual Florida Suncoast Writers' Conference at USF in St. Petersburg; the National Federation of State Poetry Societies; Illinois State University; Nichollas State University; the Chicago Chapter of the American Pen Women; the College of St. Francis, Joliet, Illinois; Columbia College, Chicago; Central Illinois' Writer's Conference at Millikin University, and at various poetry society organizations.

Nell Woodcock, Associate Editor
Writer, Photographer

Nell lives in Hernando County, Florida

where the Weeki Wachee River empties into the
Gulf of Mexico at Bayport. Her focus on local history and events
has appeared in special sections of the Hernando Today newspaper
including Today's Woman.

Exciting and awesome. That's how Nell describes the developments that carved out a new
Florida during the decades she worked as a reporter. Her news beat carried her
up and down the Nature coast which skirts the state's shoreline.

She's a native and a history buff who remembers the charm (as well as the drawbacks) of old Florida. As a freelance writer, she spins tales of the state's romance and reminds readers that change, like the thunderstorms in our tropical climate, is inevitable.

Vacations in Jamacia, Puerto Rico and the islands of the Carribean provided history and material for adventure stories. Her credits and photographs have appeared as staff writer in The Tampa Tribune and The St. Petersburg Times. Her business stories appeared in the Tri-County Business and Professional Magazine when she was associate editor for that publication.

Jeannie Fredrick, Assoc. Editor
Writer

Jeannie Fredrick is fairly new to the writing scene but her enthusiasm is unsurpassed. An avid reader since kindergarten, Jeannie plunged into writing four years ago. She began writing, editing and producing a four-page newsletter for the Glen Lakes Country Club in Hernando County, Florida, where she is currently employed as the Membership/Social Director. The newsletter has grown to 20 pages and is distributed to hundreds of residents and potential home buyers.

Jeannie's most recent work was published in The St. Petersburg Times where she was selected as one of six people to write a progressive novel that appeared in the newspaper in December 1995. The experience provided an opportunity to broaden her writing skills, and she continues to develop story lines as a freelance writer. She also maintains an ongoing novel with her writer nephew.

When editors of Write On Magazine asked her to contribute a story to Florida's premiere online magazine, she immediately jumped at the chance to start "A Mouse Tale." She believes this outlet will help others stretch their imagination and skills and offer an opportunity to become published in the newest, most exciting mode of electronic communication.

Originally from Craig, Colorado, Jeannie lives in Homosassa, Florida
with her husband, Larry, and dog, Sara.
