Welcome to our world! We are
located in Jeffersonville in the beautiful river valley of southern Indiana
where we have lived since birth. This page is devoted to different things
that have touched our lives and to our family that remains dear to our
hearts. We hope that you will enjoy viewing what we present to you.
A brief introduction about our city. A settlement in the area began about 1786. About 1801, although information is unclear, the settlement became known as Jeffersonville. Jeffersonville is the county seat of Clark. One industry Jeffersonville was famous for was steamboats. James Howard a famous steamboat builder was located here and even today a museum is located in the Howard family home. Across from this museum still exists Jeff Boat a large inland builder of barges and river vessels. There is much to be said for our quiet and peaceful city but my it is a changing. From when I was a child you could walk from your home to go downtown to shop and enjoy. Not today! Today Jeffersonville is much larger and continues to expand. What once was farmland is now subdivisions and industry. However, it still retains, for the most part, that quiet and peaceful atmosphere that we have enjoyed since our childhood. Now about our family. My wife,
son, and I share our home with a variety of God's creation. We have a Golden
Retriever a Shih Tzu a crazy Cockatiel and two Parakeets. Plus, the
newest additions, our Siamese kitten that discovered us and a Maine Coon
cat. Our most famous house guest
is a lop ear Rabbit named Mr. Peepers. So go on and visit with
the gang by clicking on the link "Our Pets". |
