Dragonball Z: The Dead Zone

Garlic Jr., a Namek who wants Kami's position on earth, set out to destroy Kami by killing Piccolo. Piccolo and Kami are linked from the dividing that happened at the beginning of the Piccolo-Daimao series, and if one dies, so does the other. Garlic's henchmen atttack Piccolo, but he survives. Garlic knows that he has to be stronger to defeat Kami, so he gathers the dragonballs, including the one on Gohan's hat which he has to kidnap Gohan to get, and wishes for immortality.

Krillin and Gokou go to rescue Gohan, and are trying to find him when they meet Piccolo, who agrees to team up against Garlic Jr. At the same time Kami is trying to stop Garlic and getting his butt kicked. Garlic then turns into his battle form and starts to fight against Piccolo and Gokou. He defeats both of them, and creates a portal to suck them into another dimension. This ticks of Gohan, who blasts Garlic Jr. right into his own portal, which seals him in another dimension for eternity.
