Welcome to your guide to the Super Saiyan. Long ago, the Saiyans of Planet Vegeta were all controlled by the evil planet broker Freeza. Freeza was using the Saiyans to conquer planets, which he sold for personal profit. Legend told, however, that one day a Super Saiyan, with green eyes and golden hair, more powerful than any Saiyan before, would defeat Freeza and free the Saiyan people. Freeza, in fear, destroyed Planet Vegeta and set about exterminating all Saiyans from the Galaxy. The Super Saiyan eventually came, in the form of Goku, and Freeza was defeated, fufilling the legend. Since that time, the Super Saiyan level has been attainable for many Saiyans. After Goku, Trunks, Vegeta, Gohan, and Goten all were able to reach the level of Super Saiyan, as well as the more powerull Super Saiyan Levels 2, 3, and 4.
