Dragonball Z: The Super Saiyan, Gokou

Gohan and Piccolo attack Slug, who turns out to be a Namek. King Kaiou tells the heroes Slug is in fact a Super Namek. After Gohan and Piccolo get beaten senseless, Gokou and Krillin show up and start to fight Slug. There are a few exchanges in which one side is winning, then the other side powers up more, then they start winning, then the first side powers up more. It's a very typical battle. King Kaiou thinks towards the end that Gokou might be the Super Saiyan.

As Gokou seems about to lose, Piccolo transfers some energy to him and Gokou fells Slug in a single punch. As Gokou flies off to destroy the sun blocking satellite, Slug recovers and attacks Gokou again. Gokou creates a giant Spirit Bomb, and uses it to completely destroy both Slug and his satellite.
