Dr. Gero is the creator of the original Red Ribbon army, and is enraged when Goku, a child at the time, destroys his entire army. He spends the next portion of his life designing androids with the specific intent of destroying Goku. His creations include Android #16, Android #17, Android #18, and Android #19. Before the androids encounter Goku, Dr. Gero turns himself into an energy absorbing android, Android #20. |
