Piccolo is a Namek, and is born from Piccolo-Daimao, Kami's evil half, just before Piccolo-Daimao is killed by Gokou. Piccolo grows up hating Gokou, and they frequently battle at the earthwide tournaments. When Raditz arrives, Piccolo and Gokou work together to beat him. After Gokou's death in the fight, he takes it upon himself to train Gohan for the coming Saiyans. The young Saiyan has a softening effect on Piccolo, and he remains on the side of good from there on in. He is directly linked to Kami, and neither can exsist without the other. |
