Super Saiyans Super Saiyans This portion of the page is to help you understand the Super Saiyans and their various modes. Gokou will be used as a visual example to illustrate the diffeneces between these modes.
Regular Gokou	Regular Saiyan Normal Saiyans are strong and muscular, much stronger than people from earth, and they have jet black hair. Trunks is an exception to that last bit, probably due to Bulma's genes. Saiyans generally have a very distinctive style of hair, and a tail. Gokou's tail has been removed, like many other Saiyans.
Oozaru Mode When a Saiyan with a tail looks at a full moon, their body is transformed into a gigantic ape that shoots energy blasts from its mouth. Although this beast is extremely strong, it has some drawbacks. First of all, the Saiyan that is transformed has no control over itself; it just wreaks havok at random. Also, any obstruction of the moon light, such as a cloud, causes the Saiyan to revert to their regular form.	Oozaru Mode Gokou
Super Saiyan Gokou	The Super Saiyan When a Saiyan that has trained very hard becomes extremely angry, it is possible for their power level to explode upwards as they enter a Super Saiyan mode. A Super Saiyan is about ten times stronger, faster, and more agile than a regular Saiyan. A Super Saiyan is characterised by bright gold hair, green eyes, increased muscle mass, and sometimes a yellowish glow of pure power.
Super Saiyan Level 2 Super Saiyan Level 2 gives a fighter another tenfold increase in speed, agility, and power. Gohan is the first Saiyan to reach this level. In apperance, a Super Saiyan Level 2 has slightly more hair and muscle mass and slightly different hair coloration. The aura surrounding the fighter generally has a more electrical than glowing look. Super Saiyan Level 3 Gokou	Super Saiyan Level 3 Super Saiyan Level 3 is far superior to Level 2. At Level 3, the balancing act is no longer required. The fighter simply increases to another astronomical level of strength, speed, and agility. This stage is very difficult to reach, and Gokou is one of few Saiyans that can reach it on their own. Most Saiyans must first fuse with another Saiyan, then make the transition to Level 3. A Level 3 Super Saiyan has a great deal longer hair and much more muscle mass, making the level easier to distinguish than Level 2. Fighting at Super Saiyan Level 3 requires a tremendous ammount of energy, so most fighters can't sustain the level for more than about ten minutes, but a Level 3 Super Saiyan is usually strong enough that they have plenty of time to win in ten minutes.
Golden Oozaru Mode Golden Oozaru mode is exactly what it sounds like, a Saiyan in Oozaru mode, only the fur is golden. This mode, like the normal Oozaru mode, requires the Saiyan to have a tail. To reach the Golden Oozaru mode, however, the warrior must look up at the 'full earth' from another planet, instead of the full moon. The significant difference of this Oozaru mode is that once a fighter has been in Golden Oozaru mode, he can then power up all the way to Super Saiyan Level 4.	Golden Oozaru Mode Gokou
Super Saiyan Level 4 Gokou	Super Saiyan Level 4 Once a fighter has been into Golden Oozaru mode, he can power up to a new level of power, Super Saiyan Level 4. The Level 4 Super Saiyan is practically infinately powerful, and looks nothing like any of the other Super Saiyans. Because of this, some people refer to it simply as Super Gokou 4 instead of Super Saiyan Level 4 Gokou. In this level, the fighter's hair reverts to its original black (I don't know what would happen in Trunks' case), and their eyes change to a more reddish color. Red fur sprouts on their upper body, except the chest, and grows a tail, even if his tail had previously been removed. Like Super Saiyan Level 3, Level 4 requires an enormous ammount of energy to maintain and can't be sustained for long. But it' generally long enough.
