Bardock Story

Bardock stays home while his team conquers another planet, and when he is well he leaves to catch up with his team, about the same time his son Kakarot is sent to conquer earth. Bardock finds his entire team slaughtered and learns that Frieza was responsible. He goes after Frieza in a rage, and defeats many of Frieza's henchmen, but is overcome by Dodoria because he is distracted by future visions of his son Kakarot.

He returns to Vegeta and tries to convince the other Saiyans of their impending doom. Since they won't listen to him, he flies at Frieza approaching ship. He defeats hundreds of Frieza's minions, then fires his strongest blast right at Frieza. Frieza counters with a bigger blast, one that destroy's Bardock's shot, Bardock, and the Planet Vegeta. The only Saiyans that survive are Vegeta and Nappa, who are off conquering, Kakarot, who is on earth, and Kakarot's brothers Raditz and Turles.
