- Chief RukGus Falls in the Temple of Droga! Droga
is a massive maze that tunnels deep under the earth. It's
cold, hard passageways are guarded by hordes of patrolling
Kunark Goblins, a breed far more wicked than their Antonican
cousins. The goblins have delved their lair with cunning,
forcing would-be invaders to drop down sheer cliffs into the
waiting claws of fierce goblin guards. Once inside, the only
exit is a long way off through twisted, confusing tunnels,
or through the inhospitable halls of the Mines of Nurga. Still,
two groups of our level 35+ raiders used brute force to fight
their way down to the very deepest chamber of Droga - the
goblin-infested halls of Chief RukGus himself. RukGus surrounded
himself with his most ferocious and loyal troops. Goblin warriors
and spellcasters lurked in every corner, but couldn't withstand
the relentless Exodus assault. Cave by cave we made our way
in and slew goblins by the score, vanquishing the Bodyguard,
Stitcher, Maddened Burynai, and Chief RukGus himself repeatedly.
The raiders bagged four Circlets of Darkness (effect: Gather
Shadows), a RukGus Sticker, a Whip of Strangulation, a Goblin
Forged Mask, a Spiked Goblin Ring, and 2 Essences of Dol.
We then clawed our way back to the surface and left the Temple
to the remaining goblin hordes.

- Runnyeye Raid 2! As the guild
grows, the raids get better and better. We had 17 show up
for this one, and ran amok through the entire dungeon. Ewith
is now "Blackened Iron Man", after getting decked
out in nearly a full suit of Blackened Iron armor plus a Blackened
Iron Bastard Sword (Dazed Goblin Knight). The evil eye Borxx
dropped his lens, 2 Grotesque Masks were plundered from the
Goblin King, and we lost track of the Blackened Iron Medallions
off the Warlord and other gobbo elites. The Slime Elemental
was its usual stingy self and refused to cough up any rare
items. I have to say the Runnyeye Goblins have one very posh
home, though- it might make a nice guildhouse. >=) Thanks
to all the Exodites, old and new, for making Runnyeye 2 such
a blast! >runnyeye

- Kedge Keep Raid!
"Golden Mermaid Spanked. Unnamed bandits escape alive."
Kedge
is an underwater dungeon found in the lake of Dagnor's Cauldron.
We set out to collect only one item: a lock of golden mermaid
hair for the Raincaller bow quest. Kedge presented some new
challenges. Everyone had to be buffed with Enduring Breath
at all times, and we needed tons of fish scales on hand to
replenish the spell. We also used magician's summoned water
stones as backup. Since we were constantly swimming and this
was taking our stamina down, we had to regularly cast Invigor
on everyone in the group. Kedge was a 3D environment, and
mobs would hide in holes below us or hang suspended near the
ceiling. Travelling within the dungeon also meant swimming
slowly, and going up and down vertical tunnels from room to
room. We started out by pulling the swordfish in the first
room one by one. A high-level mage was soloing the 2nd room,
so we didn't have to clear that one out. That meant we could
go straight from the 1st room to the mermaid room and camp
her. She spawned on a rock in the middle of the 4th room and
was guarded by stiletto tooth and stiletto fang piranhas.
Little Crimson Sailfins swam all over the place, but weren't
aggressive. We made sure not to use AoE spells so they wouldnt
join in the fight or bring in their big brothers from other
rooms. We kept an eye out for Shimmering Sailfins, since they
explode for massive damage if killed. After 5 hours, the golden
haired mermaid finally showed and gave us the lock of hair.
This was the last item our ranger needed to complete her Raincaller
quest, one of the best bows in the game! Kedge was a blast,
and we plan to return again. This level 35-50 dungeon offers
great xp and items.

- Najena Raid 3! Our best Najena
raid ever, with 2 full groups. We trashed the entire dungeon
repeatedly, and stole the Flowing Black Robe off Najena's
back! There were 2 mobs we hadn't seen before: a Widowmistress
(mid 30's) and a named dark elf mage (high 30's). Both were
found in the spider tunnels beyond the goblin camps. We'd
heard that Najena had been revamped, but these two were the
only things that seemed to have changed. Our groups handled
them easily, but they could be a real problem for a single
group of level 20's.

- Exodus Begins Open Recruitment Period: We've
got a solid core group of great players, and the guild is
doing well. Exodus has really begun to shine. Now it's time
to open our doors a little wider and start to grow a little
faster. With more active recruiting, our ranks have swelled
and we've picked up a lot of new players who've added a lot
to the guild. With a larger guild, the possibilities for even
greater events and raids have expanded. We now have almost
40 regular players!

- Runnyeye Raid! At first glance
Runnyeye may not seem like much , but the deeper in you go,
the cooler this place gets! We had two powerful groups, and
our first stop was the Slime Elemental and the Dazed Knight
on level two. The slime looked like a fire elemental, and
his lair was...well, slimy! You could skate across the floor
like it was ice. Nearby was a bridge with slime coating both
sides - very dangerous because falling in meant taking a dive
into a pool of slime on level 3 guarded by gobbos. The Slime
Elemental was a piece of cake, but didn't drop anything. After
3 tries we moved on to the Knight, who gave us a Blackened
Iron Bastard Sword. Next was the Goblin Bar and Bank. Yep,
I said Bank! There is one in Runnyeye and it is run by gobbos
- still anyone could bank there. Outside the bank area was
a fountain infested by Sludge Darkmire and a huge Gelatinous
Cube. These gave up a Cat Skull Cap. The throne room was where
all the action was: the King, the Captain, and tons of elite
guards guarded it, but 2 full groups of Exodites smashed them,
picking up a Fractured Femure, Blackened Iron Medallion, and
several pieces of blackened iron armor. The star of the show,
the infamous Evil Eye Borxx, popped for us twice and yielded
the coveted Evil Eye Lens both times. Can you say "Staff of
the Observer"? =)

- Permafrost Raid! This
was a cool dungeon - very fortress-like, with ice and snow
everywhere. The movable rock to the Alchemist room was a new
sight for some of us. 2 Exodus groups assaulted and came away
with 2 Archaeologist Packs, Mammoth Hide Leggings, 2 Runed
Circlets, and a Book of Frost. Not bad for a day's work of
siege.
|
|
Solusek
A Raid! Goblin
bartenders everywhere are now cowering behind their counters
and stashing their Drake Scale Leggings in better hiding places.
The king was temporarily deposed, but rumors are that he's
back - a little worse for the wear! Maybe a Sol A Raid II
will fix this...

|
Najena
Raid 2 rocked! This
time it was 2 full groups, and we penetrated to Najena's very
room. Serious bashing and loot was had.
|
|
Najena
Raid 1! 4
intrepid Exodites infiltrated the sorceresses' lair, stomping
her guards and stealing away with valuable artifacts. A
great dungeon for loot and xp.
