First tell us little about history of your band, from what country are you, and discography:
Sickmachine is from Concord, CA in the US (that's just north of the SF Bay Area). We've been together for almost four years. Our members have come from various Bay Area Metal/Punk bands, but you can definitely tell that this band is the reason that all of us started playing music - for the Heavy Shit! We have released a couple early demos, as well as contributed to compilations. Our latest release will be available on CD in the late fall if all goes well. They will be available directly from us, our site, and local Bay Area store chains.

1.Who are the band members:
Krag Redinger - Vocals/Guitar
Josh Wilson - Guitar
Leon Marcelis - Bass/Backing Vocals
Jeff Murch - Drums

2.How did you got your name and what does it means:
Basically we just made a big list of whatever we could think of (song names, putting words together, whatever). Sickmachine sounded the best. Before it kind of meant our struggle to get where we are, now it describes how we sound.

3.What music style do you play and compare it to some similar bands:
We play Heavy Ass In-Your-Face Metal. We sound most similar to a mix of Machine Head, Sepultura, and Biohazard.

4.Some of your favorite groups:
Skinlab, Sepultura, Machine Head, Fear Factory, Gwar, Biohazard, Maldiction (www.come.to/maladiction ), 40 Grit(www.40grit.net )

5.Your opinion about underground and commercial music scene:
(Note to the editor: This question is closely related to our answer for question #10)Commercial/Corporate Rock Sucks!!! Commercialism sucks! Bands become popular because those people in the underground family like their music, not because a record company can come up with fancy advertising.

6.What was the biggest success of your band:
Noteriety among the Local Underground Scene. that, and playing in front of over 1200 people.

7.How many concerts did you played and by your opinion what was the best:
We've been playing shows together as Sickmachine for over a year. We've played quite of few shows so far, some we had so much fun we can't remember them (if you know what I mean). Some of our best shows were playing with our friends, like 40 Grit, Maladiction, Systematic, True To Form, etc. We remember allot of our shows as being good, cause that's how we make them. We bring the energy and the audience feeds off of it.

8.The favorite song you made and why:
All our songs are Great! Everytime we come up with a new song, it becomes one of our favorites. "Victimize" (one of our newer, unavailable songs) is probably our favorite right now. It's Heavy, Raw, Aggressive, and it gets people jumping and moving.

9.Where you on some local radio show (or something like that):
We've had local radio attention as well as popularity through the underground. College radio stations nationwide are playing compilations that we're on.

10.Do you think that underground music need more attention of media and what is your opinion about big music televisions and radio stations(such as MTV,Viva.....):
MTV needs more TV shows like Headbanger's Ball, not more of the One Hit Wonder types. The Underground is underground for a reason. Mainstream isn't ready for the type of dedication that is needed to be part of the underground, wether as a band or a fan. The Underground is a family, we see bands come up from nothing. If they become mainstream, its as if they have betrayed their family. Don't confuse this with popularity. Take a band like Machine Head for example. Hopefully those "loyal" fans of MH remember the roots. Robb came from a band called Vio-Lence. We saw Vio-Lence rise and fall. We saw two great bands come from that fall, Machine Head and Torque. We supported them cause they were still family. Both bands became popular and we still consider them part of the family. Support your local music scene or die with it!

11.Do you have support of local metal fans:
We love our fans, like we said they're family! if it wasn't for their support, we wouldn't still be doing this!

12.Plans for the future:
We'll be releasing our CD soon. As soon as its out, we'll be playing allot more shows. We're working with allot of contacts from all over the US. We will most likely be planning a West Coast tour first, then regional, then short stints out to the rest of the country.

13.Say something for the end:
Support Your Local Metal Scene,Turn Your Backs on Those Who Oppose!

See Saw Buck Out!
