Slough formed in March 94.We started out as a three piece with RottedRick(me)on throat/gtr..Tyler Gein gtr...Tommy Davis drums..We wanted to create the most over the top musick that wasn't noise.I wanted to spit my vile words at my peers(the underground people) and have them say;"This guy is one sick motherfucker!!!!" It is easy to shock and offend everyday
society.I need a challenge.So Tyler and myself created this machine of multi-dimensional violence. We released one demo with Tommy on drums.It was called ANAL LOBOTOMY.Shortly after that release I began working with drum programs and found that SLOUGH was 100 times better with programs.I think we are one of the first bands to use drum programs in this scene and actually get accepted as a  force to be reckoned with.Since SLOUGH started, allot of band/projects have popped up in the underground that use drum machines to go beyond extreme..but..SLOUGH has already crossed the lines of shocking and sickening with today's technology.We started this band to try and be a part of the evolution of grind/death metal and feel quite proud of what we have accomplished so far.Now we must take the next step,being,go beyond what is shocking musically.I feel our next step in our existence is a big one...carving our way through to the top of this heap.

3.How did you found the right name for the band,was it hard for you,did you changed your name,and what does it means and does it fits to music that you are playing?

My buddy always used to say he was Slough..First off..SLOUGH is sounded like snuff and muff...So many people pronounce our name wrong.GET IT RIGHT BRAINIACS!! SLOUGH is rotted flesh or the demoralization of society.Yes...the name fits well.

4.Can you describe your music,can you compare it to some similar bands?

SLOUGH is  SICK METAL!!! The only band we ever get compared to is MORTICIAN and I don't like that.I go out of my way to create the most extreme and over the top drum programs,our guitar riffs are fucking megaviolence and the lyrics/vocals cannot be touched.We get compared to them because we use drum programs and that's the only reason.Anybody that listens to SLOUGH and MORTICIAN knows this.I respect what MORTICIAN is doing,but...SLOUGH goes beyond even them.Before MORTICIAN popped back on the scene we got compared to the MEATSHITS.Again the drum programs. If all SLOUGH did was turn up the tempo and blast through a wall of sound with only a snare,kicker,and cymbals thrown at you,then..you could compare us to those two bands.SLOUGH is uncomparable in many peoples eyes including mine.

5.Are you religious,do you believe in god,Satan or something else or you are atheist(you can skip this question)?

I believe in the creation of humans by another intelligent species,today man is creating life in his own image.It is called cloning.Soon we will begin creating humans of choice.Humans who live longer,humans created with ultra defensive immune systems,humans who are smarter,humans designed to survive harsh conditions.Our creators went through the same evolutionary process as we are now.The bridge is built and it reaches towards a new mankind.  bio-genetics and bionic technology is reality now. ...I believe war could never destroy mankind in this age.We have the technology nowadays to copy life and mold it into what we want or need.Science is the true god and heaven is the imagination that becomes reality....oh yeah...I also believe that when somebody I do not know gets murdered,raped,run over,shot,ect,ect,,it is o.k. their flesh and their breath is no of concern to me.There are plenty of people out there to continue on,so why not kill some for my entertainment.

6.Describe us your local underground metal and core scean,is there any band that you want to mention,are there many fans of this kind of music?

We have in our local area,LIVIDITY,WACO JESUS,THE SECRET LIFE,CYBORGASM, and SLOUGH.We are also the home to IMPETIGO and GUTTED PULP which are sick metal gods.CENTRAL ILLINOIS,USA has had some beyond extreme and very original bands born here.I'm proud of my ILLINOIS musick heritage.Drummers are hard to find here!!! In Central Illinois grind scene one drummer plays for LIVIDITY and WACO JESUS!! The rest of us had to look to technology for drums,or,bionic drummers so to speak.I am employed by LIVIDITY and WACO's drummer which is cool!! I get days off work when those bands play!!!What more can you ask for!!!

7.Who writes your lyrics and what are they about?

I write all lyrics and programs for SLOUGH.Fans and Zines alike have labeled SLOUGH as the sickest band ever.If they have heard SLOUGH and read the lyrics with it,they have experienced a new realm of shocking violence and insanity.Just when you thought you have become immune to sick musick and nothing else is shocking,SLOUGH comes at you with an unrelenting in your face cock carving incest ridden assault.The lyrics deal with a very,very,twisted world seen through the eyes of a man raised on violence and demoralization.That man is me.The image I portray with the lyrics can only be described as insanity of the most extreme kind.My insanity and my murder instinct are SLOUGH.I smile at songs such as;"SEEDS OF INCEST....FUCKING MY MOTHER", "THREE MEN AND A FETUS", "FATHER'S BLOOD IS PISS",or "PEDOPHILE GRAVEYARD."  When I write a line in a song such as;"....I cut out her tongue,it pronounced her prayers as she died,..and to the god that did not answer them,I eat it....",I feel good..happy..cleansed.....lyrics are an important part of SLOUGH.

8.Do you have problems with music equipment?

No...my alarm clock doesn't go off sometimes..

9.Is it hard to find musicians in your country that want to play that kind of music?

I buy mine.

10.What is your opinion about gore music and lyrics and what is your favorite gore band?

Gore has it's good and bad just like every branch of this scene.I think gore is underrated though.Now that new labels are becoming successful with releasing gore I see bigger labels releasing the shit. This will only lead to better productions and more merchandising which I like!! My fave sick bands are SLOUGH,VAMPYRIC MOTIVES,DYING FETUS,LIVIDITY,LIBIDO AIRBAG,DEAD YOUTH,GUTTED PULP,IMPETIGO,GUT. I guess I like the gore bands that stand out and say;"FUCK EVERYTHING
INNOCENT AND KILL WHATEVER YOU WANT!!"

11.How many concerts did you played on by your opinion what was the best?

12.Do you like gore movies?

I Like some of them..I'm not about to sit here and say CANNIBAL HALLOCAUST is a classic.I find that shit to be boring.Bad film,bad acting,bad writing.I am more of a psychological entertainment type person.

13.3 favorite songs?

AcidQueen-Venom...anything that Celtic Frost did before Cold Lake...All Dying Fetus..Eternal Ban-Destruction.. ..Onslaught-Power From Hell cd...lots over the years!!!

14.Did any of you played before in some other band or do you still play in some other band?

I did MORGUE FETUS.Tyler is in ANAL GETAWAY and SECRET LIFE.

15.Plans for the future?

We have a split cd with SMES out by years end on BIZZARE LEPROUS PRODUCTIONS and a split 7" coming out with TAPEWURM(scott hull/AGORAPHOBIC NOSEBLEED).We are also in talks with a label about doing mass production of our "Procreation Of Penile Disgust" cd.I will accept most offers because I have free studio.I took a break for about 3 years but,I am back to kill again and will continue killing until I stand above all.
