Interview done by Sacri Camo!!!

1) Introduce your band?
Were called John Doe. We are an alternative metal band.
The band members are:
Lee Clarke (me)- Guitar/ Vocals
Mark Kelly - Guitar
Antony Kelly- Bass/ Backing Vocals.
We are currently looking for a new drummer.

2) Your discography?
We are releasing an album later this year. Songs that may be on the album are:
Lament (releasing as a single)
Why Bother
Suicide Note
Solitude

3) What are you thinking of metal scene today?
I think it's increasing. There is a wide range of bands out there. More people
seem to be getting into metal. And we can thank Limp Bizkit, Papa Roach, The
offspring and Blink 182 for that

4) What are you listening to lately?
MachineHead
Slipknot

5) What are you thinking right before you go onstage?
Sometimes I get really nervous before we go on but everything seems to come
together when we start playing, it all depends on where you are playing and
who your playing with. If your playing with a really good band its more scary
because you have to contend with them.

6) The best and the worst thing of being in the band?
The best thing is that you get to deliver your personal message to the fans
and it's a good laugh especially after the show. The worst thing is that
sometimes the tension runs high within the band. We recently kicked our
drummer (piete) out of the band because he just used to moan all the time and
he wanted everything his own way.

7) What is about Metal that makes you want to play it?

I believe that metal is one of the only real kinds of music left. I don't see
steps or westlife as music- its just manufactured bullshit- they play it for
the money not for the satisfaction of playing it.

8) Who are your favourite bands?
Slipknot gives me energy and songs like freak on a leash by koRn make me feel
good.
I have been listening to bands like Iron Maiden since I was young.

9) Do you think luck is more important then talent?
There's a thin line between the two. Sometimes in the studio there may be a
part of a song which you just cant get right but when you play it live it all
works out.

10) Plans for future?
We are auditioning new drummers now and we are going to go into the studio
soon. I have got my own side project. Very heavy band that I play drums in and
mark plays guitar in that band as well.

11) Are you having any touring plans?
No but it might be worth considering in the future. I would like to go on tour
and see different crowds in different countries.

12) Some message for your fans?
Metal heads should stick together and get along because we have got a war with
the small minded teenie boppers who have no idea and. keep on rolling baby you
know what time it is.
