1.Can you tell us little about history of band, who formed the band, when, why............. Kaamos was formed in 1998 by the original members Konstantin, Thomas, Johan and Nicklas. It was Konstantin who had an idea of a death metal band and asked the rest of us if we were interested. We was and Kaamos was spawned. The idea is to create dark death metal which is true to the old roots of what extreme metal is supposed to be all about.
2.Current line up, did you change line up since the beginning, if you did why, and do you plan to change the line up:
The current line-up is:
Karl Envall - bass and vocals
Chris Piss - drums
Konstantin Papavassiliou - guitar
Nicklas Eriksson - guitar
Since the beginning we've had to change bassplayer/vocalist when original member Johan Thörngren left the band due to lack of interest. Lucky for us we knew this guy Karl and he fits like a glow. Original drummer Thomas Åberg decided to quit and concentrate on other musical adventures. Lucky for us we knew this guy Chris... The line-up as we see it today seems very stabile and we don't want to change a thing.
3.Discography: Easy one... we have no record deal. Yet. We've released a 7" vinyl with to songs and also as a promo cassette with one extra song on. we now have a brand new demo out. It's called "Curse of Aeons" and consists of five bad ass death metal tracks.
4.Can you little describe us your music, and since the beginning did you change the music stile. Kaamos is and will forever be a DEATH metal band.
5.Your favorite bands,and what are your main influences. In band do you all listen same kind of music or........... Yeah, we all have similar taste in music with a few exceptions to confirm the rule of course. We draw inspiration from bands like; Morbid Angel, Grotesque, Sadistic Intent, Order from Chaos, Dismember, Autopsy, Slayer, Terrorizer... and a whole lot more....
6.Can you describe us little metal underground scene in your country. Are there many new bands that play this kind of music and are there many people who support underground bands?I guess we have quite a good climate here regarding our underground scene. One problem might be that there is to many bands... everybody seems to play with some band and have a problem with supporting other bands than their own.
7.Do you know something about metal scene in my country? Sorry no.
8.Can you describe us your latest material? It's dark death metal with gives people a certain feeling of a time when death metal was ugly and bad with no pollution from computers or synthesizers... I can't say a band we sound like nor can I by any means say we're original but we have that certain... what the French say "I don't know what"
9.Was it hard for you to find the right name for the band, did you change the name?No it wasn't hard. A friend of ours suggested KAAMOS and there was no point in arguing. It suits us.
10.Best concert that you played on?That would have to be when we opened for the Haunted here in Stockholm a couple of months ago. It's at least the biggest crowd I've played for.
11.Do you like gore movies? Yes box
12.What do you think about noise art(music)? I like noise to a certain extent but I can't say I'm familiar with that term
13.Beside your band does any of you play in some other band or did any of you played in some other band? I play in a band called Serpent Obscene and Kalle in Revokation. The inbreeding in the Stockholm area is... well imminent.
14.Can you describe us your lyrics, who writes them and what are they about? What’s your favorite song that you made? Konstantin is responsible for all lyrics and they handle different magickal topics which can be whatever he is working on at the moment. My favorite song... hmmm... it differs from time to time. I like 'em all!
15.What do you think about new political situation in Yugoslavia?Don't know, don't care.
16.Do you have any jobs beside playing in band?Yes, everybody except Kalle has regular jobs as regular people.
17.Do you plan to record a video in future?I would be cool but it's not a main priority. First of all we want more gigs, more girls and a fat record deal. Duh?!
18.Do you believe in god and devil, and what is your opinion about church, and sect? No, I do not believe in the idea of a god and a devil although it makes great bedtime stories. I consider myself an Atheist. What other people do or believe in doesn't bother me at all as long as it doesn't interfere with my life. Let them pray...
19.Plans for the future ?Record deal, more gigs...
20.Favorite cartoon? South Park
21.What do you like more the sound of metal of 80's 90's or the sound of new wave metal bands such as Korn,Slipknot,Linkinpark,Papa Roach and similar bands........ It's a disgrace that the bands you mentioned is considered as metal bands! I hate this new wave crap!
