parkway construction update 9/25/00

la la la!

at some point in the distant past, i took down the webpage that had the bte desktop themes i had made... yeah, i know, what was i thinkin'??? well, you should be happy now, because they're back up! i just re-designed that entire section of the site, so it's all nice and purty. there are screensavers and wallpaper and windows sound events, oh my!

oh yeah, i finally got my copy of artifakt! if you haven't ordered a copy yet (what's wrong with you????) you should do so IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!!!!! you're missin' out....... anyway, go order it now! NOW, i said! i'm not talkin' to you until you do! :P

ps--remember the cool trumpet player whose last name i didn't know last time? well, his name is eric lucero. stella was a doll and told me his last name, but you would have already known what it was if you'd bought artifakt, now, WOULDN'T YOU???? yes you WOULD! hahaha!

(i think i need sleep...)

well, well, well, it's been a long time, hasn't it?

i offer no excuses, my dears, only pictures.

check out the scenic overlook for pictures from the new orleans house of blues. aww yeah!! unfortunately, cameras were not allowed, so i had to be reeeeeeeally sneeeaky with my little disposable camera. that is why we have no pictures of jim or travis. it's a travesty, i know!

however, i did get a pic of the brass section! mark mullins and eric were blowin' the house down! (psst--i'll let ya' know as soon as i know the mysterious eric's last name.) it was beyond cool to hear their adaption of the strings in at the stars.

well, enjoy the pics, dears. :)

there's a new place to hang out on ezra parkway. ezradio is up and running now! i've posted all the b-sides in realaudio, plus some live songs and interviews. and there's still more to come! however, i plan to avoid duplicating anything that can be found either on ferlen's or sam's pages. that way there's room for other stuff! :)

first and foremost, a very big THANK YOU to better than ezra, especially tom, for permission to post the songs. i'm using my school's server, so i have to be careful when posting copyrighted material. and if anybody at OU wants to know--yes, i DO have written permission to post better than ezra songs. so :P

word to my beeeeyoooootch kimberly, the original mastermind of the phrase "warm n' fuzzy ezralovin'" and all variations thereof! don't try to stop her, you can only hope to contain her! bwahahahaha!

also, hila, that girl from israel ;), helps me come up with all sorts of fun stuff! EzRadio, cute! i like it. awww yeah! and heyyyyy manda, look at this! j/k ;) but thanks for looking, and looking, and looking and... you're the best guinea pig ever!

and yes, e-mart did just disappear. now that bte.com has the merch page up, i've decided to take e-mart down. the bte desktop theme will eventually be moved to a new location. if you're just dying to get to it before i set it back up, then email me and i'll be happy to give you the address, no problemo! :)

and oooooohhh yeah! i *finally* updated the atlas! it looks much better now. :)

parkway construction update 7/29/99

wow, it really HAS been a long time... lol but i can explain! really, i can!

the pics from the okc show on 6/24 are FINALLY up. see, it was a benefit concert for the may 3 oklahoma city tornado relief fund, and i just love the guys to death for doing that! i grew up in one of the neighborhoods that got wiped out. i don't live there anymore, but it still means a lot to me that one of my all time favorite bands is willing to do something like that. i was also out chasing that storm with my meteorology friends that day, and we saw the storm before it hit oklahoma city. the sucker was a mile wide then, and solid black. strange how something so destructive can be so beautiful and so compelling. but that's mother nature for you. i hear the trees bloomed again within a few weeks, and that people are rebuilding their houses in my old neighborhood. i still can't look. and i can't imagine the strength it takes to go back, but when starting over is all you have, it's nice to know that people really do care. and that's why i love bte even more for helping these folks out. thanks guys!

and before i struck off on that tangent, i was gonna say that i had been waiting for my friend to send me her pics from when we went chasing. i wanted to post her pictures of the tornado we saw, and i wanted to do it at the same time i posted the concert pics. so the whole shebang is up now for anybody who's interested :)

but that's not all that's new, oh no! the lovely sally guidroz has sent me a few of her wonderific collages she made her very own self out of her bte pics. (can you tell i like 'em?) and these aren't just cut 'n paste collages you can do with any old paint program on your computer, these are actual collages she printed herself on photo paper! they're reeeeeeally cool! so go check 'em out in the pavillion, okie dokie?

and coming soon (i HOPE) pictures from the 7/24 show in austin, tx. that was one helluva show! they played the voodoo version of porcelain!!!!!!!! :D check back soon, i swear i'll try to get 'em up!

thank you to erin maxwell for the tornado pics, and sally guidroz for the bte collages. love ya' gals!

.....uh oh, i think i picked up a bit of an accent in texas.... ooppsss!!
