A little about me....
Well, well, well. What is there to tell you about myself. Hmmm, let's see. Here goes:
My name is Rachel (yes, there ARE female storm chasers out there!) and I live in Upstate New York. It's pretty lousy chase country where I live, (I've had my share of Berkshire chases over the years, and that's NOT fun, by any stretch of the imagination) but the winters are pretty nice. I stick to the Mid-West for the serious action, though.
I graduated from Russell Sage College with a B.S. in Elementary Education and Sociology. I am attending the State University of New York at Albany for a B.S. in Meteorology. It's going well, thank you for wondering. (SUNY-A may be listed as a Top 10 Party School, Nationwide, but their Meteorology Department is tough to beat, as evidenced by the fact that their Chase team was one of only very few to get live footage of the Spencer, SD tornado in 1998.)
I have been a member of SkyWarn (Storm Spotter's Volunteer Agency) for approximately 3 years.
I have been seriously and purposely photographing the weather for 7 years, but chasing for as long as I can remember...Thanks, Mom, for getting me started (and for all the late-night chases!)
I am a closet astronomy nut.
I am a very avid Anthony Hopkins fan.

When I am not drawing, I am usually listening to stand-up comedy of one type or another. Comedy is something that I take seriously, but I enjoy it immensely. My favorite comedians include Lewis Black, Dave Attell, Jason and Randy Sklar (The Sklar Brothers, as they are affectionately known on their Comedy Central special), Stephen Lynch, Wanda Sykes, Pablo Francisco, Wendy Liebman, Paula Poundstone, Ellen DeGeneres, and countless others.
